We are distinguished from other builders in our attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship and on-site superintendents.
John S. Corda started Corda Construction in 1982. Joan Jones joined Corda Construction in 1998 in the office. Soon she was estimating, negotiating contracts, and working as project manager in all phases of construction. In 2012, Jones Corda Construction was formed as a partnership between John Corda and Joan Jones and Joan became a licensed contractor. In 2016 John Corda retired from Jones Corda Construction and suddenly died. Joan and the team continue the company in the same tradition.
Corda Construction started out with a three-man crew doing small remodel projects. Currently Jones Corda Construction specializes in custom homes and commercial projects and employs a crew of 40-50. We have completed over 80 new homes, and numerous residential, remodel, and commercial projects. Our growth is due to our reputation and word of mouth; we do very little advertising. We have found this approach has given us the opportunity to work for a small group of wonderful people.
We have won numerous awards and accolades whether it was Tahoe Quarterly, Mountain Living, C Magazine, or Architectural Digest. Our employees are very loyal and hardworking. We have an extremely low turn- over rate. Most of our subcontractors have worked with us on numerous projects and can be counted on. With this combination, we have had great success meeting deadlines and budgets.
We are distinguished from other builders in our attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship and on-site superintendents. We self-perform all carpentry related functions and all painting. We believe these features allow us to assure our clients that we have built them a quality house.
In today’s construction trade, we have been fortunate to build multi-million-dollar custom homes and large commercial projects. The result is the custom homes get the internal advantage of a commercial builder and the commercial projects get the quality of a custom homebuilder. The bottom line is Jones Corda Construction is a small company that can do large and small projects and continues to provide a one-on-one relationship with the client.
